The stakes of Ukrainian war
Russian troops have invaded Ukraine in violation of the United Nations Charter and international law. Since 24 February 2022, the fighting has been raging. The FIFDH joins the international community in condemning this act and is organising an evening devoted to the issues related to this war and its alarming consequences for human rights. On Monday 7 March, during the main session of the UN Human Rights Council, we will give the floor to Ukrainians on the ground, including the director of the film and a panel of experts.
The evening is broadcast live, also in Bratislava, in partnership with the One World Festival.

The Earth is Blue as an Orange
By Iryna Tsilyk
An explosion far away. Anna and her four children live in the war zone of Donbass, Ukraine. Their shared project: to make a film about what they have experienced and about their daily life in this destroyed city. They turn the living room into a studio and asked the soldiers to sit in front of the camera. The result is a moving documentary about life on the margins of peace and security.
