The FIFDH Foundation (hereinafter "the FIFDH" or "the Festival") is committed to communicating a transparent policy regarding the collection and use of personal data. Data protection, which is both a critical issue for human rights and a fundamental right, must be treated in an exemplary manner by the FIFDH.

Your personal data will always be used for the purpose for which it was originally collected; it can be processed, within a legal framework, in contexts such as the delivery of services, evaluation of the usefulness of this site, data management or technical support.

In order to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal data we collect online, we use data networks protected by, among other things, firewalls and passwords that comply with industry standards. When processing your personal data, we take appropriate measures to protect such information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and deletion.
Paper archives are kept according to the directives of the City of Geneva and in accordance with Swiss law.

You may request, at any time, a copy of the information we hold about you at contact@fifdh.org (please note that we will ask for a copy of an official document verifying your identity).
Non-disclosure of personal data
Your personal data is neither sold, nor shared, nor communicated to third parties except those specifically listed below.
Third parties who may have access to your data for technical reasons are contractually obligated to use your personal data only for the agreed purposes, and cannot sell personal information to third parties nor disclose them to other third parties except as required by law.

The FIFDH reserves its right to update or modify this Privacy Policy and any specific clause relating to it at any time and without notice. Newsletter
Use of data
Subscription to the newsletter allows readers to be informed foremost of the activities of the FIFDH. The frequency of newsletters sent during the year is 1 to 2 per month, except during the month before the Festival, where one newsletter is sent per week, and one per day during the 10 days of the Festival.
To send our newsletter, we use MailChimp as a list provider. MailChimp is a service of The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404, Atlanta, GA 30318 (hereinafter referred to as "Rocket").
The recorded data is transmitted to Rocket for storage. Input data that is stored is not transmitted to third parties. In addition, MailChimp offers different ways of analyzing how newsletters are opened and used, for example the number of users who have received an email, if emails have been rejected and if users unsubscribe from the list after receiving an email. Rocket processes and stores all data entrusted to it in accordance with the GDPR and / or the DPA. Further information on MailChimp is available at the following link: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/. MailChimp is certified according to the "Swiss-US or EU-US-Privacy-Shield". The "Privacy Shield" is an agreement between Switzerland, the European Union (EU), and the United States to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the United States.

We use services to analyze the use of our website (https://fifdh.org/en/) and to report on the activities carried out on our site. This helps us build a website that is clear and relevant. The data used for these web analysis services are never processed in a personal way.

For web analysis, we use Google Analytics, a Google service headquartered in the United States of America (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA). Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your visits of the website or your IP address, is processed by Google in the United States.
We draw your attention to the fact that on this website, Google Analytics has been supplemented with the code "anonymizeIP". As a result, visitors’ IP addresses are stored anonymously (masking the IP address) and transmitted to Google Analytics. Thanks to this code, your IP address will be shortened beforehand in the Member States of the European Union or in the other Member States of the Treaty of the European Economic Area. The full IP address is transmitted only in exceptional cases to a Google server in the United States where it will be shortened.
Google Analytics uses the information collected to describe the use of our website through statistics and reports.
Google will also disclose this information to third parties if required by law or to the extent that such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.
You can block the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, such disabling may prevent the use of certain features of our website. Event software
Use of data
Your participation as a partner, guest, moderator, accredited guest, press or other function closely related to an event of the Foundation FIFDH will require the registration of your information in our organizational system. Eventival is a professional event management tool used by many Film Festivals around the world made by a service provider based in the Czech Republic. This data is used strictly for processing your participation (confirmation of participation in a party, travel, hotel, planning, etc.) and provide you with practical information about the event.
This data will not be resold or delivered to third parties or used for other purposes than those for which you have transmitted them to the FIFDH.

Online ticketing requires a certain amount of data concerning the buyer for payment and routing purposes. We use "Ticketack” for ticketing, a professional tool provided by a service provider based in Switzerland.
