Withdrawal, silence, resilience, outrage, protest, action, reflection, satire, humour... This collective exhibition exemplifies the modes of resistance that artists have developed in the face of the great challenges of our time: each a unique strategy for survival. Today, there is no shortage of opportunities and imperatives to resist a "system" - named or otherwise. We are witnessing a growing distrust of political authorities, whose lack of responsiveness or genuine powerlessness prompts an increasing number of people to resist by demonstrating against everything from animal experimentation to mass deforestation, from globalisation to white supremacism to sexist advertising.
