SCREENING AND CONFERENCE | Trilogy Exhuming Political Violence

Screening of Nuestras Madres by César Diaz and followed by a discussion

Guatemala, 2018. The country is living to the rhythm of the trial of the army men behind the civil war. The victims' testimonies follow one another. Ernesto, a young anthropologist at the Forensic Foundation, is busy identifying the disappeared. One day, on hearing the story of an old woman, he believes he has found a lead that will enable him to track down his father, a guerrilla who disappeared during the war. He plunges headlong into the case in search of the truth and resilience. The screening will be followed by an exchange led by Sévane Garibian (UNIGE) with Luis Fondebrider (ICRC)
