Children's access to art, an issue of social justice

Cognitive scientists continue to find clues as to how important cognitive and social skills are enhanced through arts and connection to natural and cultural heritage. Creativity, imagination, and the ability to express complex emotion through art help children to see and navigate new horizons. This conference explores the role of art in early childhood development and why limiting its access to underprivileged children is a social justice issue.
