The Remnants: screening and discussion
Laos is the most heavily bombed nation in history. Half a century after the Vietnam War, the country remains heavily contaminated by explosive devices, including cluster munitions. The film shows the impact these explosives continue to have, and how people have adapted to the lethal heritage. As Switzerland assumes the Presidency of the Convention on Cluster Munitions, which bans the use of these weapons, the film is an opportunity to discuss the challenges related to the use of these devices.
