Love Child

He and she are madly in love and have a beautiful baby boy. But the story isn’t so simple: Leila and Sahand are both already married, and in Iran, as in many other countries, adultery is forbidden. The family escapes to Turkey only to find themselves trapped in the administrative maze which asylum seekers are so sadly familiar with. Alternating between her own images and sequences shot by the family, Eva Mulvad recounts with great subtlety the 6 years of waiting lists, hopes, battles and patience, but also 6 years of laughter and love.
