The End Will Be Spectacular

Young Zilan returns to the Kurdish city of Diyarbakir to honour her brother's memory. Caught up in a violent fight, she decides to take up arms. This breathless film tells the story of the resistance of the Kurdish fighters in 2015, when the Turkish army launched a deadly siege on Sur, the historic centre of the city of Diyarbakir. The film is based on the stories of the survivors, some of whom play their own roles: an ode to the courage of an entire people.
