Red Soil
By Farid Bentoumi
Nour (Zita Hanrot) is recruited in the chemical plant where her father (Sami Bouajila), a union delegate and pillar of the company, works. A young journalist (Céline Sallette) is investigating waste management. Together they will discover that the factory hides many secrets... Amongst lies about polluting waste and hushed accidents, Nour will have to choose between exposing the truth but close the factory or keep quiet and save the workers’ jobs. A political film inspired by real-life events and carried by a first-class cast, selected at last year’s Cannes Film Festival.
