Masterclass with Walter Murch
Since the 1970s, Walter Murch has become one of Hollywood cinema's most emblematic editors : Apocalypse Now (1979), The Godfather Part III (1990), The English Patient (1996) and Cold Mountain (2003). He has since won 4 Oscars. He often works on the films' sound editing, and even mixing, resulting in technological advances related to spatialization. This masterclass will be devoted to his editing of Taghi Amirani's film Coup 53 and its emphasis on historical archives. How can life be re-imbued into film archives, how can they be revived?
