Maternal

In Argentina, where abortion is illegal, teenage mothers often seek refuge in convents. This is the case of Lu, the wild one, and the wise Fati, who cross the path of young Sister Paola. The three women are almost the same age, but a gulf separates them: the first two became mothers against their will, the third never will be. A film full of purity and grace, with touches of finesse and humour, light and shade, which paints a striking portrait of women who, in spite of everything, are free.
