Women leaders in international Geneva | Tatiana Valovaya
After a career as an economist, journalist and diplomat in her native Russia, Tatiana Valovaya was appointed Director-General of the United Nations Office (UN) in Geneva in 2019.
In recent years, other prominent women have been appointed to head major institutions in international Geneva. All of them were the first female appointees to their respective posts. It is undoubtedly a significant step forward, but can we really speak of a "revolution" ? Are international bodies really becoming more feminine ? How is Tatiana Valovaya faring in a position that has always been held by a man ?
This event is part of a series of masterclasses with Rebecca Amsellem organised by the Inter- national Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum.
