Activists, New Generation ! Emergency activism

They are aged between 18 and 25 and have become human rights figures. They have another thing in common: their activism is no longer merely a matter of hope, but of urgency.

"There is a war being waged on my body". Paxton Smith seized the opportunity of her high school graduation speech to denounce a newly passed law in her home state of Texas that prohibits the termination of pregnancies as early as six weeks, even in cases of incest or rape. Her address rapidly spread around the world thanks to social networks. For Winnie Tushabe, the survival of her country, Uganda, depends on agriculture respectful of the land. She teaches permaculture to poor families and refugees. In Lebanon, Marina Al-Khawand is demanding access to healthcare for her fellow citizens.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the FIFDH, three women activists from three continents will take to the stage. They bring with them new forms of resistance and face unprecedented risks, particularly those linked to social networks. What they have in common with the activists followed in the documentary Dear Future Children: an urge to change the world.
