Shahin Najafi is a versatile Iranian artist who delivers an experimental combination of modern and folkloric Persian music, rock, rap, jazz, and even classical music. It also includes "Gilaki", the language spoken in northern Iran, as well as a form of sung poetry riddled with word play. Najafi is known as a dissenting and avant-garde singer, but this rebellion is present not only in the content but also in the experimental forms his songs take.
