Screening of Rosalind Bain's The Negotiators - How to Make Peace in partnership with Geneva Peace Week.
The film is a journey through the personal stories of very different characters. In Mexico, Jordi Raich, an ICRC "neutral intermediary". He was one of the architects of the 2016 peace agreement in Colombia. In South Sudan, Dorsa Nazemi shows us her work negotiating on the ground with tribal chiefs. Valentin Inzko, an Austrian diplomat and former High Commissioner for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Dag Nylander, a Norwegian diplomat, explain how his country seeks solutions to conflicts, and how he has taken part in numerous negotiations around the world.
The documentary is followed by a debate in English with Arthur Boutellis, Senior Advisor at TrustWorks Global and Rawhi Afaghani, Regional Advisor on Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding at UNDP.
