Laurence Deonna LIBRE!
As part of its events throughout Geneva, the FIFDH proposes a free screening and a meeting at the salle communale in Confignon. This is an opportunity to discover "Laurence Deonna LIBRE!", a poignant film shedding light on a Geneva-based figure who left a mark on her time through her work and commitment, which earned her the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education in 1987.
Screening followed by a discussion on the reality of women at the heart of conflict zones, with Laurence Deonna, Thérèse Obrecht, Swiss historian and reporter, specialist in Eastern Europe and Maurine Mercier, journalist - reporter for RTS, winner of the Bayeux Prize in 2022 for her work in Ukraine.
The discussion will be moderated by Laure Gabus, journalist and creator of podcasts.
