Los Silencios
By Beatriz Seigner
The young Nuria flees the civil war in Colombia. She arrives at dawn on a mysterious island in the furthest reaches of the Amazon. Nuria gradually understands that her father, who supposedly died in a landslide caused by an oil company, may be hiding in their house. The violence and collective memory of Latin America intertwine in this bewitching film, tinged with magical realism.
