Insoumises
By Laura Cazador & Fernando Perez Valdes
In 1819, the Swiss surgeon Enrique Faber moved to Baracoa, where he marries the beautiful Juana and befriends his black servant. Little by little, rumours begin to spread: Enrique might be a woman. Thus begins one of the most scandalous lawsuits of Cuba's colonial history... Laura Cazador and Fernando Pérez Valdés tell the true tale of Lausanne's Henriette Favez, a free and rebellious woman, brilliantly portrayed by Sylvie Testud.
