Le FIFDH Impact Day réunit cinéastes, ONG et partenaires financiers dans un but commun : renforcer le rôle du cinéma documentaire comme moteur de changement social.
Le Impact Day se déroule intégralement en anglais.
The programme of the second edition of the Impact Day 2020 was strongly modified one week before the event, due to the health crisis which obliged the FIFDH to cancel most of its activities in mid March 2020. Even like this, the Impact Day did still take place in a reduced version and cancelling its public presentations.
Programme of the Impact Day 2020
110 projects from 57 countries (production and co-production) answered to the open call of the Impact Day 2020. The selection of projects took in consideration not only the quality of the proposals in terms of story, narration and production, but also the urgency of the topics and the potential for impact campaigns.
25 projects were selected. They came from 22 countries (considering production and co-production territories) from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. 52% have female directors. The topics covered a wide range of the most urgent issues of the moment : from gender equality, to peace and social justice, from climate action to LGBTI rights, from quality education to youth activism, just to mention a few.
After 4 projects had to cancel their participation, 21 documentary feature films, most of them in production and post-production stage, joined the second edition of the Impact Day on March 9th and 10th:
An international selection committee greatly contributed with their expertise to identify the projects that were part of the FIFDH Impact Day 2020:
