Out of Competition - Documentary

Sur l’Adamant

By Nicolas Philibert

The Adamant is a unique day centre: it is a floating building. Situated on the River Seine, in the heart of Paris, it welcomes adults suffering from psychological disorders and offers them a framework of care that structures them in time and space, helping them to reconnect with the world, to regain a little momentum. The team that runs it tries to resist, as much as they can, to the decay and dehumanisation of psychiatry. This film invites us to climb aboard to meet the patients and carers who make up the daily routine.
