For 30 years, Rithy Panh has produced a powerful body of work dedicated to the Cambodian genocide, each piece a rediscovery of cinema After having confronted systemized murder (S21: The Khmer Rouge Death Machine) the figure of the executioner (Duch, Master of the Forges of Hell), he explored memory and loss with The Missing Picture. For the first time, Panh turns the lens directly on himself in Graves Without a Name, and summons sorcerers and diviners to speak to the living and the dead. A discussion with Rithy Panh and moderated by James Burnet, former journalist and expert on South-East Asia, will take place following the screening.
